One time, I went to a beer and yoga class. I'd done a few yoga poses in the privacy of my own home, but never thought I'd go to a class. It was the beer that convinced me; the class was at a tasting room for my favorite brewery. And it looked like a beginner-ish class.
I wobbled a lot and did my best to follow along. Thought I did pretty decent. But while I was drinking my free beer afterward, the instructor gave me a coupon to come to her studio where I could use props to help with - I'm paraphrasing her words - my complete lack of balance.
I pretended my red face was from too much beer.
Anyway, that was a few years ago. Now, it's 2022 and we're going to try sucking at things until we suck slightly less. I've got a new yoga mat, and an ego that won't bruise so easily.
